About BTS 2025

The Blockchain Technology Symposium (BTS) brings together a diverse community of academic researchers, industry professionals, and policymakers to explore advancements and challenges in blockchain technology. The theme for BTS 2025 is centered around but not limited to decentralized AI and advanced cryptography, spotlighting how blockchain can address critical issues in these rapidly evolving fields.

Hosted at the University of British Columbia's Vancouver campus, BTS 2025 builds on the successes of previous editions, fostering collaboration and innovation in blockchain research and applications.

We welcome submissions in any area of research related to blockchains. Some key themes include:

Consensus Algorithms and Distributed Systems
Cryptographic Techniques in Blockchain
Smart Contracts and Decentralized Applications
Blockchain for Decentralized AI
Blockchain Integration with IoT and Edge Computing
Real-World Use Cases, Technological and Adoption Challenges

Symposium Structure

BTS 2025 features a two-day program that includes:

Keynote Talks: Insights from leading academic and industry experts
Research Presentations: Short talks showcasing cutting-edge research
Panel Discussions: Experts discuss real-world blockchain applications
Networking Opportunities: Interactive sessions and social events
Demos: Demos of blockchain+AI Applications

BTS 2025 will be co-located with Blockchain@UBC Summer Institute. Attendees will be able to attend both events through a discount registration fee.

Submission Guidelines

We welcome submissions from graduate students, postdoctoral researchers, and early-career professionals. Submissions should include:

Abstract (500 words max): Summarize your research and its contributions
Keywords: Up to five relevant keywords
Presenter Bio (150 words max): Highlight academic background and research focus

Selected presenters will have 15 minutes to showcase their work during the symposium.
